Protecting Against the Spread of COVID-19
Last reviewed: July 28, 2022
The Central Food Network takes the health and safety of its volunteers, staff and people accessing services very seriously. We are mindful of the efforts being undertaken to stymie the spread of COVID-19 and our responsibility to aid in those efforts while also continuing to address food- and heat-insecurity in our community. With concerns about COVID-19, we will provide regular updates on our actions to date and our response plan.
We are stocking our shelves to ensure that we can meet an expected increase in demand for our services over the coming weeks and months. We are acutely aware that many of the children in our community rely on food programs at school and daycare and households may experience interruptions or reductions in their employment earnings which will impact their ability to meet their basic needs including groceries, hydro and heat.
Please note that masks are mandatory in all buildings we operate out of. As well, please be mindful of reduced capacity limits in our buildings and please attempt to social distance when space allows. Thank you for your patience!
