2025 Impact - Bulk food donations and food rescue

In 2025, volunteers Ken and Murray logged over 30,000 km in our cargo van, picking up an incredible 229,695 lbs of bulk food donations and food rescue!

These donations of food:
  • Nourished local families by helping keep our Cardiff and Wilberforce food banks stocked
  • Contributed to the preparation of over 3500 frozen meals, prepared by our Community Cooks
  • Was shared with neighbouring organizations
  • Was distributed through our Free Food Days

Valued at $836,090, it's hard to picture what all that donated food looks like! Maybe it's easier to think of one of the following:

  •  191 moose 🫎
  •  9 school buses 🚌
  •  79 small cars 🚘

No matter which version you picture, this was a Herculean effort to help feed our community.

We are deeply grateful to Haliburton Rotary and Canoe FM, whose sponsorships made the purchase of our cargo van possible.

To Ken and Murray, all our CFN volunteers, staff and donors: THANK YOU!

None of this work happens in isolation, and we are incredibly grateful to have each of you here with us.

Together, we make sure no neighbour gets left behind.
